Late Bronze Age vessel with a sign from North-Eastern Azov Sea littoral

Abstract

The article considers a vessel of the Timber Grave culture which was found in the pile of soil on a plundered barrow in the south of the Donetsk region. Technological traces on the vessel surface permitted to trace some details of its manufacture, and the presence of a single peculiar mark under the rim made it possible to attribute this vessel to a special category of pottery of the Timber Grave Cultural-Historical community, i.e. vessels with a graphic depiction of the symbolic system of the Late Bronze Age.
